Karen K. McCoy, 65, of Denver, passed away June 22, 2018.
She was born March 25, 1953 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of James and Loretta (Sweeney) McCoy. She was a graduate of East High School. She attended the University of Colorado.
Karen is survived by her son, Chadwick Mills; mother, Loretta McCoy; three sisters, Sheila (Michael) Riordan, Diane (Kent) Mapes, and Kelly (Russ) Newton; two brothers, Kevin (Theresa) McCoy and Neil (Michelle) McCoy; brother-in-law, CJ Meany; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, James McCoy; brother, Terry McCoy; and sister, Shannon Meany.
Karen devoted her life to God, her family and her friends. She was a consummate professional having been a Director of Sales and Marketing for a number of hotels to include the prestigious Brown Palace Hotel in Downtown Denver. Her unfaltering kindness, never ending generosity and stunning smile made her a lifelong joy to be around and created memories for all to remember her. She was an avid golfer, a well rounded card player, and had the ability to light up a room with simply her presence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 27th, 2018 at 10:30 at Christ the King Catholic Church. The reception will follow immediately after mass in Christ the King's reception hall and will continue until 1-1:30 pm. A private burial for family will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery following the reception and the family thanks you for your understanding in this matter.
