Karen Carlene Wachob (Nee Frick), of Aurora, CO, passed away September, 12th, after a heart procedure. Karen was born on June 2nd, 1939 to Ruben and Edna Schafer Frick, in Culbertson, Nebraska. Her childhood years were spent on a farm in Nebraska. While still in school, Karen's family moved and settled in Aurora, CO. Karen graduated from Aurora Central in 1957. She married her High School sweetheart, John (Jack) Robert Wachob, and they had three children, Vicki, Cheryl and Jeff. They were married for 63yrs until the death of Jack. after graduating High School, Karen became a mother and housewife. Eventually she started working at JCPenny in the catalog department, retiring after 30 years of service. After retiring in 2001, Karen spent her time traveling to Alaska, crocheting, and her most favorite activity of spending time with family and playing games. She was quite the skilled opponent in any game. She was a friendly women who made friends with anyone she met and went out of her way to help people.
Karen was predeceased by her husband Jack and her parents, Ruben and Edna.
She is survived by her children Vicki Christensen, Cheryl Curtin, and Jeff Wachob. She had 4 grandchildren: Sloane, Joel, Elyse, and Chloe, and one great- grandchild, Layla.
She will be dearly missed by all.
