Karl Eugene Terlau , 91, of Wheat Ridge, passed away August 1, 2019.
He was born July 3, 1928 in Denver Colorado, the son of Karl Paul Terlau and Mary Eula Terlau (Wells).
He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1945 to 1951. Karl retired after 20 years in Federal Law Enforcement.
On December 26, 1947 he married Rose Helen Fazzio. His loving wife for 70 years.
Karl will be remembered for his storytelling. He had an excellent memory and loved to tell stories from the past. He will also be remembered for his love of the outdoors - hunting, fishing, camping and especially boating. Had he been able, he would have spent his life on the water. His energy level was contagious, always ready for adventure.
Karl is survived by two daughters, Barby Halliday, Peggy Sue (Jeff) Crain; Two Sons, Karl James (Patricia) Terlau, Steven Kurt (Jeanette) Terlau; Seven Grandchildren, Regina (Harvey) Benford, Rachel Terlau, Kelly (Chance) Lake, Jessica (Dae-Sung) Yi, Aaron (Nicole Sanchez) Bogue, Kimberly (Partner Michael Taylor) Terlau and Lindsay (Michael) Ramos; 10 great-grandchildren; Sister, Barbetta Robitaille.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rose, his father, Karl Paul Terlau and his mother, Mary Eula Terlau (Wells).
