Katherine "Kay" Betts, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2011.
Kay was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 11, 1923 to Anthony and Aspasia Frangos. She was the oldest of six children which included her sister Helen, and brothers Nicholas, Charles, Peter, and Emmanuel.
She spent her life as a devoted wife and mother, and is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John J. Betts; her daughter Esther Kereakoglow and grandchildren Stephen Kereakoglow, Sandra Kereakoglow, and Jeffrey Kereakoglow; her son James Betts and his wife Prame; her daughter Joanne Hughes; and her son Steven Betts and his wife Nancy and grandchildren Natalie Betts and Annalise Betts.
Kay will be remembered not only by her immediate and extended family, but also by her "new family" at the Heritage Club Assisted Living Facility in Aurora. Kay was a loving mother, wife, and friend who will be greatly missed, and who will live eternally in our hearts.
