Kathleen Marie Abbott

Kathy Marie Abbott was born Kathleen Marie Vonfeldt in Sterling, Colorado, August 17th, 1954 to Elmer Joseph Vonfeldt and Anna Marie Zink.

Kathy graduated from Ranum High School in 1972. She gave birth to three children; Michael (Jeri Lynn), Angie (Michael) and Christy (Matt) between 1974 and 1987. Since then, she was proud to be the grandmother to 9 wonderful grandchildren, who she loved and adored more than anything; Shawnie, Maddison, Mackenzie, Zach, Taylor, Michael, Jordyn, Tyson and Nixon.

Anyone that knew Kathy knew that she had a contagious laugh, one that instantly made you feel welcome. Neighbors and friends of her children always knew they had a place at Kathy's home. She was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She extended her compassion to her daughter Angie's best friend, Jana (Sammy), who she considered a bonus daughter. Her love also made her strong; a trait that she's passed on to her kids and grandkids. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.

At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by loved ones and went peacefully. She is survived by her three children, all of whom have lived their lives closely alongside their mother in Colorado.
