Kathryn Ann Sandhoff

April 21, 1934 — March 16, 2021

Kathryn Ann Sandhoff of Denver, Colo, at age 86, passed peacefully on 3:16 2021 into everlasting life.
Memorial service on March 29, 2021 and burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Kathryn was born in Denver, Colo on April 21, 1934 to Edward and Virginia McGlothlen (Harrison).
Her mother passed away when she was only 3 years old. She and her two sisters, Virginia (Kirsting) and Marie (Conway) were then raised by her Irish Grandmother Mary Harrison (Lonergan) in central Denver. The three sisters took care of each other, and remained very close throughout their lives. Kathryn graduated from Denver's Cathedral Catholic High School in 1952, where she was voted "May Queen" for her beauty and kindness to her classmates.

Two years later, she married Michael R. Miller of Denver, who was a veteran of the Korean war, a graduate of Denver University, and later a high school teacher. Kathryn and Michael had 4 children, Michael, John, Joseph, and Mariann (Bell).
And then grandchildren from Mariann (and Rick), named Kristy, Kelvin, and Riley Bell.
And more grandchildren from Joseph (and Julie Beery) named Jessica and Grace Miller.

Kathryn was a very devoted and loving mother and worked tirelessly to raise her 4 children. However, all was not bliss, as her and Michael got divorced, after 19 years, in 1974. She then went back to work in food service, to help support her children. A few years later, Kathryn got re-married to John Sandhoff, and moved to John's hometown in Paradise, California.
When John passed away, she moved back to Littleton, Colo, where she worked in Littleton public school's food service.
She thoroughly enjoyed "feeding the children" (the best ones got an extra cookie).

Kathryn was a creative person, and she spent time knitting colorful sweaters for her children, and crocheting blankets, and embroidering table cloths. She also created beautiful art works in pastels, with religious themes, such as St Michael and Mary.

Kathryn was always a loving, sweet, wise, witty, and kind person. A joy to be around. We will miss her smile, her love, and her hugs, but her spirit is with us for eternity.
