Katie Rose Paul

December 6, 1993 — December 25, 2017

Katie Rose Paul was born on December 6th, 1993. On that day the world became a little brighter. Katie was the light that lit up every room. She was the person who would never stop talking, made people feel welcomed, and would put a smile on anyone's face. She was a true country girl at heart, which brought her to the University of Wyoming where she got her degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Disability Studies. She wanted to work with and help kids. It was her passion in life. She fell in love with the simple small town life, which helped mold her into the person she was. She learned and taught us all that you don't need a big fancy house or things to be happy, you just need love and family.

Katie lived to be an auntie. Her niece and nephews were one of the things that made her most happy. She would always go out of her way to spoil them and to figure out the next time she could spend time with them. Most of her evenings were spent on FaceTime having a conversation with a toddler. She was the auntie on the floor rolling around, playing, and chasing them. It was never quiet when she was around the kids…it was the constant sound of laughter.

She was the daughter and sister everyone wishes they had. She was the youngest of the family, but the one that stood out in the room. She kept us entertained and always made us feel loved. She was there for us no matter where she was or time of day. She always knew what to say and how to make us all feel better. She was everyone's rock.

Her love for Kyle was the strongest one yet. He was the cowboy she wanted and she was the all American girl he needed. They started out as friends that turned into the greatest love story and it was so apparent they were meant to be.

Katie was the kindest person. She left a mark on everyone she met and her legacy will live on. She taught everyone how to be a better person and how family is always number one. She will be forever loved and missed until we all meet again.

She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Margaret & Gene Paul, and her aunt Charlene Paul.

Katie is survived by her parents Michael & Debbie, love of her life Kyle Parker, big brother Joshua (Katie), big sisters Kelsey (Dan) and Karly. Nephews Luke, Jett, & Isaac, and niece Tatum, grandparents Gary & Janet Geist, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
