Keith F. Hodges "Poppa"
Age 72, passed away May 13, 2009, survived by his beloved wife Kathy, of 49 years, Daughters Judy Hodges, Barbara Sipres, Frances Lang, Grandchildren Chris Smith, Michael Smith, Jeremy Sipres, Destiny Sipres, Aaron Manzanares, Ashley Manzanares, Justin Stander, Conner Stander, Great-Grandchildren Chealyn Sipres, A.J. Sipres, and Adam Smith. Son of the late Verian and Hazel Hodges. Brother of the late Rick Hodges and surviving brother Jim Hodges. Keith served with the US Army for four years, which he traveled across Europe. Keith was also a loyal and hard worker, working for Del Farms for 25 years and King Soopers for 20 years. Keith had a great life that he lived everyday to the fullest. Keith was a fun, smart, happy, outgoing, and loving person with everybody. He was well liked by all that he came into contact with. He enjoyed fishing and camping when he could, and especially taking his grandchildren. Keith was a gambling traveler. Keith and Kathy would go to Las Vegas, once a year, and to Blackhawk when they could, which would be at least twice a month. He loved to gamble and taking some of his grandkids with him. Keith also loved Coca-Cola. He would always collect the Coca-Cola items. Every time he would visit Las Vegas, he would have to go to the Coke store to see what was new. Keith loved his vegetable garden. He would plant his vegetables and watch them grow. He would always come in and tell Kathy how much they grew, everyday. And when they had enough vegetables he would give the rest to the family for them to have. Keith loved his family. He was filled with joy when the family would come over for visits or family gatherings. He would go to the grandkids sports games and birthdays. Keith also loved his dog, Teddy. They would go everywhere together. He would also sneak Teddy some of his oatmeal cookies that he loved to eat with coffee. They were inseparable. Keith also loved his candy. He always had candy with him or stashed away. He would tell the grandkids that they were his medicine. Keith also loved the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and the Colorado Rockies. Keith will be missed by his family and friends but appreciative for having him in their life. He will be loved and never forgotten just like his smile and kindness.
