Age 80, of Aurora, died Wed., July 29, 2009 with his family at his side.
Bum was born October 11, 1928 in Battle Creek, NE to Howell and Minnie (Benck) Chandler. He grew up in Battle Creek and Norfolk, NE. He was drafted in the US Army in 1951 and served two years during the Korean War.
In 1951, he married his wife, Faustina "Dusty" (Dirk) and now had been married 58 years.
He owned a liquor store in Aurora, CO for 27 years. He was a most meticulous person and took great pride in his store. He cared deeply about his family and was a very loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.
Bum is survived by his wife, Dusty; 2 daughters, Jeanmaire Wolfe, of Aurora; Carole Jahn of Winter Park; 1 son, Dirk Chandler, of Aurora; 3 granddaughters, Casey Jo Wolfe, Carly Wolfe, and Jessica Chandler, of Aurora; 3 grandsons, Eric Jahn, Caleb Jahn, and Joshua Jahn, of Winter Park; 2 brothers, Howell "Tobe" of Concord, Ca, Donald "Joe" of West Hills, Ca; 2 sisters, Ruth Prather of Madison, NE and Helen Miller of Norfolk, NE, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell and Minnie, 1 brother, Jack Chandler, 1 brother-in-law, Derald Prather.
