Kenneth A. Ertle

September 17, 1944 — December 3, 2020

Kenneth Albert Ertle, "Kenny" a devoted husband, incredible dad, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the age of 76. He was born September 17, 1944 in Denver, Colorado and lived there his entire life. His parents are the late Marcus and Elizabeth Ertle. Kenny was the youngest of six children, Mark, Paul, Patricia, Cathryn, and Robert Ertle.

Kenny attended St. Joseph Catholic High School, where he was a star basketball player all four years. It was there at St. Joe's where he met his lovely bride, Rosemary Mondragon. They married in December 1964 and had 5 beautiful daughters. He worked for the same Union for 44 years. He began at Star Bread Bakery and later retired from King Soopers Bakery.

He genuinely appreciated spending time with his family and friends and did not miss many of the Alumni games at St. Joe's. He loved playing basketball. Since he was a young boy you could always find Kenny at the local gym or blacktop shooting baskets. He enjoyed sharing stories, poking fun, doing card tricks, playing chess, doing yard work and projects, assisting Rosemary with ceramics and woodworking crafts and teaching his grandchildren new things.

After Rosemary, his wife of 50 years passed away in 2015, his health began declining. His memory will remain with those who survive him and love him dearly. His daughter Carolyn, her husband Dave, their 3 children and 4 grandchildren. His daughter Michelle and her 2 sons. His daughter Valerie, her 4 children and 2 grandchildren. His daughter Sheila, her husband Mark, their 2 children and his daughter Elizabeth, her husband Chris, and their 2 daughters. Kenny is also survived by his brother, Robert Ertle "Bob", several brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.

At this time, no service is planned. We look forward to reaching out as soon as it is safe for everyone to say their "Goodbyes" to Kenny.
