Kevin Charles Kelley

With saddened hearts, we announce the death of Kevin C. Kelley. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy who passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer with his devoted wife of 38 years by his side. During his final days, he was surrounded by family and friends. He loved golfing, shooting, playing video games, reading, and rewatching Supernatural, Married with Children, and Games of Thrones, as well as the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies.

Kevin was a man of few words but is remembered as a "Good Man". A selfless, generous and brilliant man who used his considerable talents to enrich and to contribute to the lives of others. He gave so much to everyone he met. His energy and sense of humor for things he cared for was infectious. Kevin enlisted in the United States Navy in 1978 and retired in 1999, receiving the National Defense Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. Following retirement he went to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Kevin was preceded in death by his brother Keith, his grandparents Charles and Margaret, his father Eugene, and his aunt Norma. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Cristina, his grandchildren who he was incredibly proud of, Ahtumn and Wynter, his children who he adored, Christlyn and Clifford, along with his riffraff children who called him Kong, his beloved mother Gladys, his sister Karen, his cousin Susan, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family invites you to attend Kevin's funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 190 Potomac St, Aurora, CO 80011. Visitation starts at 10am, the Service is at 11am and Luncheon is at noon. Then escorted to Fort Logan for his burial service where Military Honors will be presented at 3pm.
