Kim S. Jewell was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on March 15, 2022 at age 80.
She was born to late Pong Chan and Bok Yun Kim in Osaka, Japan on July 11, 1941. Working at 8th Army in Seoul Korea, she met her husband, Melville G Jewell. Mel was working for the American Red Cross. They were married in Catholic Church in Seoul, S Korea in 1966. With their only child James, they moved and lived in many US. States and foreign Countries. From S Korea, they lived at Green Park, Japan; Nashville, TN; Bremerton, WA; Phoenix, AZ; Pirmasens, Germany (5 years); San Bernardino, CA; Marina CA, and in 1980, moved to Aurora CO where her husband retired and died on May 18,2007.
Kim was very gregarious person and an extrovert, like her husband. Full of vitality. Enjoyed cooking and inviting guest to come over and have meals together. She loved to have company, meet people, socialize and was very friendly to everyone. Young at heart, she liked go out and have fun; dancing, visit friends, Elks club, restaurants, fast food joints. Her passion was traveling and liked to ride in a car. Any traveling meant that she would pack her goodies or snacks and enjoy the scenery while some else did the driving. She enjoyed going to church and volunteering her services.
Kim is survived by her son James M Jewell and his family in Aurora. Brother Chung Ho Kim and his family in Aurora. She also is survived by 2 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Pong Chan and Bok Yun Kim, Husband Melville G Jewell, sister Hak Ja Kim, and brother Jae Ho Kim.
