Larry Clayton Rasmusen was born on December 18, 1944 in Duluth, MN to Rod and Irene. He was the oldest of 4 brothers; Ron, Dale and Bob. His family moved from Duluth to Denver when he was in the 5th grade and he graduated from Westminster High School.
He had several jobs before working 31 years as a meat cutter for Safeway. He met Donna in Duluth and they married in Louisiana in 1967 and they were married for 55 years. They have two children, Lisa and John and his favorite son in law, Walter.
After retiring, he joined the Elks Club and had been a member for 19 years. He loved playing cards and winning! He also played cribbage and was very good at math and his penmanship was very meticulous. He liked going to the casinos and trying his luck with lottery tickets and pull tabs. Road trips every summer were a must and the family traveled to nearly every State and throughout Canada during their summer vacations.
Later in life he and Donna would make their yearly trip back to Minnesota and Wisconsin. He loved staying connected to family and friends! It would be interesting to know how many books he read and how many beers he drank. He enjoyed camping and skiing, washing and waxing his car and others cars. He liked going to garage sales and frequently went to his local Elvis Theater where he could use a 2 for 1 coupon. Total ticket price: $3.00. Larry always made himself available if anyone needed help and was a good guy, a winner!
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his devoted wife Donna; his daughter and son in law, Walter and Lisa Schnittke and his son, John Rasmusen; brothers, Dale, Ron and Bob and their families.
