Lary Eugene Heinbaugh, 79, of Brighton, passed away February 17, 2021.
He was born August 5, 1941 in Mobridge, South Dakota, the son of Elmer and Margaret Heinbaugh.
He was a graduate of T.F. Riggs High School in Pierre, South Dakota.
Lary enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school. He honorably served from 1963 - 1965 and was discharged as a Private First Class.
He worked for Frontier Airlines from the 1960s to the 1980s. After Frontier, he worked in public transportation until his retirement in November 2013.
Lary enjoyed feeding the birds and trips to Black Hawk. He also adored dogs. In his younger days and while working with the airlines, he traveled extensively.
Lary is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Jeri Patch of Sioux Falls, SD, Monique (Bob) Keiser of Colorado Springs, Crystal Heinbaugh of Hubert, NC, Derek (Michelle) Heinbaugh of Aurora and Taylor Heinbaugh of Brighton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Gary (Cindy) Heinbaugh and several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Wilson and brother, Vernonne Heinbaugh.
