Laura Lee Gorton, 85, of Aurora, CO, went to join the Lord on November 7, 2018.
She was born to the late Walter Erwin Ball and Bessie Hope Garside Ball on May 1, 1933 in Hastings, Nebraska. Laura Lee graduated from Gothenberg High School on May 21, 1951. She was married to the late Carl Gorton.
Laura Lee was passionate about helping others (jail ministry, feeding and clothing the homeless, teaching at church, etc.) Some of her interests included crossword and jigsaw puzzles, oil painting (she was very artistic), garage sales (usually buying for others), and spending time with her grandchildren.
Laura Lee was a Dental Assistant for many years. In her later years she became a Home Healthcare Aide.
Laura Lee is survived by three children: Steve Pierson, Valerie "Val" Smith and Douglas Danger. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: James Robinson, Shandra Tucciarone, Tayler Radigan, Josiah Pierson, Jacob Smith, Spenser Radigan, Emily Smith and Isaiah Pierson; and five great grandchildren: Julian, Joel, Isabelle, Lila and Levi; and two siblings, Donald Ervin Ball and Virginia Ruth Ball-Applegate; and various nieces and nephews. Laura Lee is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Theresa "Terri" Robinson; and siblings, Bettie Marie Ball-Roan, Floyd Emmett Ball, Barbara Lou Ball-Brim-Delzer and Roger Brian Ball.
Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00pm.
