Anne Klodt, age 89, passed away Dec. 30, 2018. She was born in Fort Collins, lived in Alamosa and Salida before moving to Denver in 1940. She attended South High School and married the boy who lived one house away.
A talented singer, Anne sang with numerous choirs and traveled with the Denver Chamber Choir to Austria in 1986 and sang in churches in Vienna and Salzburg. She led youth and high school choirs at Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member for more than 60 years. She was also a gifted oil painter, presenting friends and family with her landscapes and floral studies. She was a skilled baker, known for her pies and chiffon cakes.
Anne was a longtime member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and her other interests included gardening, traveling, and pinochle. After being a homemaker for many years, she managed her husband's office when he began metallurgical consulting.
Above all, she was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Anne is survived by her husband of 66 years, Don, son Steve (Mary), daughter Laura Bauer, and son Eric, plus three grandchildren: Rebecca Miller (Daniel), Tami Bauer, and John Falconetti (Amy). In addition, she was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Ginger and Hazel Miller, and Natalie and Lauren Falconetti.
