Laurie K. Falasco-Schweber

March 7, 1955 — May 3, 2019

Laurie Falasco Schweber, 64, of Westminster, died Friday, May 3rd, 2019.

Laurie was born to the late Robert E. Falasco and the late Patricia I. Falasco, March 7th, 1955 in Denver Colorado. She attended Saint Patrick's Grade School, Guardian Angles Grade School, Mount Camel High School, and graduated from North High School in Denver.

Laurie worked for the U.S. post office for a number of years then retired. As a child she was an avid dancer from the time she was four years old until just before her death. She took tap dance, ballet and modern dance. She loved dance and continued to perform until just before her death.

Laurie had an infectious personality, everyone who knew her liked her. She loved life and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. If she knew you, you were her friend. Laurie was one of the strongest willed people I knew, and always had time for people.

Laurie was a wife and confident to her husband of more than 30 years, Warren Schweber. Their marriage had a strong bond of love and respect. She always seemed happiest when she was around Warren.

When our Mother Patricia Falasco and our Brother David Falasco became sick, she took care of them until their deaths almost three years ago.

Laurie was my little sister. She believed that anything was possible. I'm not exactly sure where she got this strong conviction. Though raised in the same home with her, I often wondered where she derived her strength of spirit from.

Though life threw her some curve balls, she always seemed well up to the task of meeting those challenges, and the ones she set for herself. Though she was always an expressive and loving person, it came as that much more of a shock when we learned of her illness. Always the fighter, we had every confidence that she would soundly defeat the cancer that threatened her. We knew that she had so much more to give, to teach, that it just had to come out OK.

Somehow it didn't. Still, as I stand here before you all today, looking out at the many lives she touched and remembering all the causes she championed and contributed to; I know that she has achieved what she set out to. Anything is possible. She proved that to us all.

Laurie will always be remembered for her warmth and generosity, her commitment to humanity as a group and as individuals, her brilliance and unflagging optimism. She set an example of courage and compassion that inspired everyone who knew her. God Speed, Laurie– Heaven only knows what's in store for you next! You will be missed by all who knew you but never forgotten

Laurie is survived by her Loving Husband, Warren Schweber; brother, Robert D.(Nina) Falasco; step son Todd (Jess) Schweber and grandson Brody; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Now the laborer's task is o'er;
Now the battle day is past;
Now upon the farther shore
Lands the voyager at last.
Father, in thy gracious keeping,
Leave we now thy servant sleeping.
"Earth to earth and dust to dust,"
Calmly now the words we say,
Left behind, we wait in trust
For the resurrection day.
Father, in thy gracious keeping,
Leave we now thy servant sleeping.
