Laverna Bankson

LaVerna Bankson, 81, of Northglenn, preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Paul and brother Melvin. Survived by daughter Karen (Gaylen) Schauer, granddaughters Debbie (Ross) and Melissa, grandson Gaylen, Jr., and great-grandchildren Samantha and Tyler. Also survived by sisters Lorraine and Lorrie and brothers Merle, Kenneth, and Keith. She retired from Paine Webber as a V.P. of Operations and Administrative Manager. Following retire- ment, she worked as a tax preparer and office manager for H&R Block. She was very active in the Northglenn Senior's Organization as well as numerous church endeavors. Later life interests included bowling, golf, bridge, and quilting. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 28th, 2 p.m., at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, Northglenn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or to Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.
