Larry died very unexpectedly of a heart attack on Dec 5, 2009. He was born on February 14, 1947 in Julesburg, Colorado. He was a librarian for Jeffco Public Schools for over 10 years, and at several other libraries during his career including Arapahoe Library District and the Air Force Academy. He graduated from Denver Lutheran High School in 1965, and went on to get a B.A. in History from the University of Denver in 1969, and later a Master of Arts in Librarianship from DU in 1974. He served 4 years as a medic in the Air Force from 1970 to 1973, and 1 year in the National Guard from 1973 to 1974. He married his wife, Sue, on September 3, 1977, followed by a 3-week honeymoon to Germany, Greece and Turkey. He was an avid reader, cross country skier and loved to camp, hike and bike. With his wife Sue and sons Jeremy and Nathan, he traveled all over the western US, as well as to Washington, DC, Disney World, and the midwest. He and Sue cruised around Hawaii to celebrate their 25th anniversary and to Alaska for their 30th anniversary. In recent years, he and Sue had season tickets to Lakewood Cultural Center and Littleton Town Hall Arts Center. They also went to the National Western rodeo every January. He is very much missed by his wife and 2 sons, and by numerous other relatives and countless close friends. Memorials can be made to Lutheran Church of the Master, 14099 W.
