Lena Duncan (1925-2023)

Lena Josepine Duncan, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, at the age of 98. She was surrounded by her family who cherished her deeply and will miss her dearly.

Lena was born on July 3, 1925, in Denver, Colorado to Frances and Joseph Marchitti. She is one of seven children who all shared a passion for music. Lena enjoyed singing at a young age. She attended Manual High School where she met her husband, Joe Duncan. They married in 1946 and had 4 children.

Lena is survived by her 4 children, Janet Wyche (Jim), Gregg Duncan, Mark Duncan, Joe Duncan (Laura), 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Lena is preceded in death by her loving husband Joe, and her six siblings.

A funeral mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Thursday December 14, 2023. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Reception to follow at All Saints Catholic Church.

To know Lena was to love her. She was a kind, generous, faithful, and loving woman who touched many lives with her warmth and grace. She has left a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
