Lena Violet Gray of Denver, passed away Wednesday, January 31st at the age of 92. Born to the late Michael & Mary Lagrimanta on February 10th 1925 in the city of Leadville, CO. Lena grew up alongside her three brothers and four sisters until the age of 23 when she married Thomas C. Gray on April 4th, 1948 and relocated to Lakewood, CO. Lena lived with her husband in their home together for 50 years until Tom's death in 1998.
Lena's true passion was in raising her 2 children and 4 grandchildren, being a wife, mother, grandmother and all around caregiver is what she did best. Described as a strong, intelligent woman, with a truly kind soul and an insurmountable love for those close to her, she without a doubt left a an eternal mark on all of those who had the blessing of knowing her.
Lena is Survived by her two children, Louann Holman of Broomfield and Thomas Gray of Westminster. Three grandchildren Brian Smith of Westminster and Danielle and Nicole Holman of Broomfield. She is also survived by Three of her sisters, Betty Lenhart, Millie Johnson and Mary Jean Wood, all three of Lakewood, CO. She is preceded in death by parents Michael and Mary Lagrimanta, Husband Thomas C. Gray, Sister Lucy Corelli, three brothers Ralph, William and Frank Lagrimanta and grandson Jason D. Smith.
Viewing will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home Friday, Feb 9th at 8:00am. Services will follow, beginning at 9:00am. Burial will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery after close of services.
