Lenore M. Cawthra

Lenore Mae Cawthra, 91, of Commerce City, CO, died Thursday, April 4, 2019. She was born to the late Aaron E. and Beda M. Strand, November, 7. 1927, in Bertrand, NE. She was married to the late Marvin Cawthra and later to late Edward Harvanek.

Lenore worked as a dedicated cashier at various locations over the years. She loved gardening and crocheting for her family and friends. She was actively involved in her Lutheran church. She always enjoyed traveling and later in life she loved walking and connecting with her friends at the local recreation center.

Lenore is survived by two children: Cheryl Kaesik, of Littleton, CO; Marlin Cawthra, of Longmont, CO. Three grandchildren: Tanya and her husband Jason, Trisha and her husband Jason, and Michelle. Along with five great grandchildren: Courtney, Tyler, Noah, Keziah and Aria. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Beda Strand; siblings, Ellen, Edith, Florence, Ruth, Art, Roy, Milford, Harold and son-in-law Gregory Kaesik.

A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and a gathering immediately following until 3 p.m., Saturday, April 13th.
