Leona Honey Hanns

Leona "Baby Sister" Hanns was born in Gary, IN on November 02, 1935. She was one of two children born to Theodore and Dorothy "Dowe" Honey. She joined Eddie A. Hanns in marriage on August 22, 1953 in Gary and celebrated 66 yrs of marriage. They moved to Denver, Colorado per Eddie was in military. Within those 66 yrs she was never required to work, Eddie made sure she never wanted for anything and she took great pride in making her house a home. She loved her family, extended family and friends. Leona was a great cook and love to watch her family indulge in her labor of love. She was always willing to lend a helping hand as well as her advice. She always said " I tell you what I know because I love you." Her smile always lit up the room. She always spoke her mind, had a true since of loyalty and built great relationships over the years. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind daughter, Elaine D. Allen; Grand-daughter Danielle (Dee Dee) Griffin; Son, Craigston Honey; grand-daughter, Erika Honey; great-grand son, Jordan Rollie; Three nephews Freddie Hanns, Gerald Hanns , John E. "DJ" Hanns and a host of extended family and friends to cherish her memory.

Leona was preceded in death by Husband Eddie A. Hanns; Parents Theodore and Dorothy Honey; Brother, Harvey Honey.
