Leona Parks

Leona May Parks was called home to be with our Lord on January 19, 2010. She was born May 25, 1926 in Hemingford, NE, the daughter Fred & Louise (Bichel) Bebeusee.

Leona grew up in Glenwood, Iowa. She moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1955 with her husband, Virgil Woodrow and three of her five children, Eugene Woodrow, Deborah Kay and Teri Denise. Rodney Dean and Lorena Louise were both born in Colorado. Leona and her family lived for 35 years on Centennial Ave, where she forged lifelong friendships that continued until her passing.

When the kids were grown and had moved from home Leona and Virgil spent some years in Lafayette, Colorado. In 2002 they moved to Amity Plaza Senior Living Center, back to Littleton where her journey in Colorado had started.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil, daughters Deborah and Teri and daughter-in-law, Shari Patrice Parks.

She is survived by her children, Eugene Woodrow Parks, Rodney Dean Parks and his wife Lynn, Lorena Louise Byrns and her husband Dave. Her grandchildren; Kimberly Ann Creger (husband Andy), Scott Edward Parks, Amy Linn Rodriguez (husband Junior), Tia Marie Povsha (husband Bill), Darci Renae Parks, Joy Ashley Byrns (fiancé Justin) and Thomas Leroy Bryns IV. She was blessed with the gift of 11 great grandchildren (Nicole, Amber, Jeremy, Brandi, Ryan, Paige, Kaidence, Jaxson, Kingston, Jordan, Korinne). She had many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved as her own. Leona had numerous dear friends she met along her journey and she treasured each and every one of them.

She will be dearly missed however, we are all confident in our belief that she is in heaven with our Lord and her loved ones who were called home before her.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Amity Plaza Council.
