Leroy Russom, 84, passed peacefully at his daughters home on Thursday, December 03, 2020.
Devoted Husband, Father and Friend. Lee's kind consideration was known to many. He was the beloved Father of six sons, three daughters and many grandchildren, all of whom he loved.
Leroy survived his wife, Carolyn Russom, as she passed in 2012.
Together for 40 years, Leroy was her rock, and loving caretaker during their final days.
Leroy was proud to have served his country, having enlisted in the US Marine Corps Infantry. An honorable veteran of the Korean War.
Through brick, stone and mortar, Lee had an innate engineering ability to translate a concept into a profoundly beautiful structure. Driving through Denver one can see the many buildings that were commenced which showcase his eye for quality and precision.
Leroy, you will be remembered as the Salt of the earth. Part of the Heart of America. We salute you with a Semper Fi and our loving hugs to farewell goodbye. You'll be missed dear man.
LeRoy is survived by 9 children; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister and many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Russom; his son, Randy Russom; his brothers, Larry Russom, Dan Russom, Daniel Russom, George Russom and Newton Russom and his parents, Dan Russom and Rose Trujillo.
