Le was born to LeRoy and Marguerite (Rodgers) Hinkle on August 16, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska. Le was raised on a ranch in Elbert County near Londis, Colorado with six siblings. As the depression deepened, they moved to the town of Elbert and then Elizabeth, where he graduated high school.

He was blessed with two sons, Greg and Barry.
After he returned to the Denver area, he began a life long passion of riding and maintaining motorcycles that included trips through much of the American west.
He married Eva in 1964, starting a 56 year marriage. They moved into their new home in 1965 and lived there until 2018. Le and Eva passed away within two weeks of each other this month and are now together again in Heaven.
Le and Eva were devout Christians and shared their faith with their family and friends.
Le was meticulous in his 20 year career at Gardner-Denver. He used that same attention to detail in his passions in life, including motorcycling, singing in the church choir, and many other pursuits. He demonstrated the Christian values that he held dear and set an example to all who knew him.
Le is survived by his son Barry and numerous nieces and nephews. His son Greg preceded him in death.
