Leroy A. Redler
Leroy Arthur Redler, 66, a resident of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at home.
The son of Albert and Pauline Redler, he was born February 24, 1942, in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up around Albion, Nebraska, and later near Griswold and Atlantic, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Joan Ann Freund, November 16, 1963. Following their marriage, he worked in the construction industry. They moved to Aurora, Colorado, in 1972, where they ran their own construction company, Midwest Erectors Inc., until his retirement.
Leroy was a member of St. Pius X Parish in Aurora, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; two daughters, Donna Redler, and Mary Ann Carroll, both of Aurora; and a son, Scott Redler and his wife, Valerie, of Aurora; three grandchildren, Brianna and Brandon Carroll, and Shawna Redler, all of Aurora; two brothers, Dwaine Redler and his wife, Mary, of Omaha, Nebraska; and Byron Redler of Elk Horn, Iowa; two sisters, Carolyn Kinsella and her husband, Tom, of Omaha, Nebraska; and Marilyn Freund of Atlantic, Iowa; 17 nieces and 22 nephews; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
Preceding Leroy in death were a son, Mark Redler; his parents, Albert and Pauline Redler; his father-and mother-in-law, Tony and Helen Freund; and three brother-in-laws, Charles (Chuck) Freund, John (Jack) Freund and Heinz Gerschermann.
The Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 2:30p.m., Friday, July 18, at St. Pius X Parish 13670 E. 13th Pl., Aurora, CO 80011, with Father Steve Adams officiating. A rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m., Thursday evening followed by a visitation with the family at Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac, Aurora.
The family is suggesting memorials to St. Pius X Parish or to the family for their designation at a later date.
