Lester Oscar Hungerford
Les was born September 7, 1921 in Manchester, Kansas. He spent four years in the Army during World War II stationed in Europe. Upon his discharge, he moved to Dodge City, Kansas where he met and married his beautiful bride Lois Weeks on February 16, 1947. While in Dodge City, he worked for Fairmount Foods 25 years. After working for Fairmount, he worked at M & S Wholesale. He and Lois then moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 1995.
He is survived by his wife Lois, four children; Jim and his wife Kris (Howard) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Tom and his wife Linda (Schnitzler) of Parker, Colorado, his daughter Pat and husband Steve (Arrasmith) of Independence, Missouri and his daughter Linda and husband Kem (Ketchum) of Columbus, North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by son John and a granddaughter Amber Dawn Frappier.
He has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Memorial service will be Monday, August 7, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at First Christian Church of Dodge City, located at 5th and Vine.
Memorials may be given to First Christian of Dodge City, or to your local Hospice Organization.
