Lillian married Kurt Kulbeik in 1938 in Yankton, SD. They moved to Colorado and had two sons. Lillian worked at Loretto Heights College. Later on she worked in a machine shop building airplane parts while raising her two sons.
Kurt passed away in 1961. Shortly after his death she learned how to drive at the age of forty-five and had a very heavy foot. Lillian then bought her house on Forth Ave. She then married Irvin Lankerd and was married for twenty-four years unti his death.
Lillian loved to dance and bowl, but what she was known for was making her pies.

She lived there for 7 1/2 years. For health reasons she moved to assisted living at Brookdale Highline and was there for four months before passing away peacefully after three days at the Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
She is survived by her sons Gerald (Sandy) and Gary, grandchildren Mike, Mark, Marci, Stephanie and Scott; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Madison and Austin. She was loved and will be missed.
