Linda Fay Cleckley was born November 15th, 1951 to Roland and Enzlee Armstead in Galveston, Texas at John Sealy Hospital She was the fourth girl born of 5 from this union.
Linda was baptized at Greater St Matthews Baptist church in Hickok TX, and attended Lorraine Crosby school in Texas through 1963, when the family moved to Denver Colorado.
In Denver Linda attended Steadman School, Smiley, and Denver East High school. Linda enjoyed the social benefits of her high school years, and valued the close relationships created during those years until her final days. An avid reader who loved math Linda would always be the first to answer any of her Daddy's pop quizzes.
A loving sister, Linda was often charged to look out for younger sister Ianthia, which she did and would always come to defense of any of her sisters. Linda was defined by her guts and her spirit, along with her kindness and empathy as she would open her home to anyone in need and share whatever was needed.
Linda married John Cleckley in 1975, and together they raised Syrita, Roland Aaron and Jaloni in Alliance Nebraska, and in Denver Colorado. Such a caring mother Linda always found ways to show her children love and taught them respect and to treat others kindly as she did through good times and bad.
Linda was welcomed into heaven on 12/27/2021, preceded in heaven by her parents (Roland & Enzlee), Husband (John), and Son (Aaron) and is survived by four loving sisters Frances (Ward), Romander (Armstead), Barbara (Kercheval) and Ianthia (Johnson). 3 Children, daughter Syrita (Henderson), and Sons Roland and Jaloni (Cleckley) 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren
