Linda Jo Martinez, 68, of Denver, passed peacefully with her son by her side on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
Linda Jo Martinez was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother. She had beautiful long strawberry blond hair and beautiful hazel eyes. She was tall and, as a child, I often looked up to her lovingly.
She was a hard worker. She often worked twelve hour shifts at restaurants to provide for her kids.
Most of all, she was a kind, loving and beautiful soul who loved her family dearly. She had dozens of pictures of family all over her home. I know they provided comfort to her.
She loved country music and thought Alan Jackson was "cute".
She loved watching America's Got Talent and posting pictures of her dinner on Facebook. And despite all the pain and struggle she sometimes endured, she never lost her innate loving and kind nature.
That is who my mom was.
That is why so many people love her and will miss her dearly.
That is why I will honor her every day.
