Linda L. Whitaker

Linda L. Whitaker, born on April 24, 1946, in Kearney, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a vibrant spirit whose infectious giggle could light up any room and evoke from all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Linda was cherished for her ornery charm, quick wit, and intelligence. A wonderful conversationalist, she engaged everyone she met with warmth and kindness. Linda's caring nature made her not only a beloved mother but also a sweet friend to many, always ready to lend an ear and offer support.

Her interests were an integral part of who she was. Linda found joy in crafting, collecting beautiful items, coloring on her phone, and playing mahjong, often surrounded by family and friends, cultivating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her devoted family, including her sons, Eric (April) Whitaker and David; her daughters, Lisa and Sandra (Michael); eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of joy and creativity.

As we reflect on Linda's life, we acknowledge that she has rejoined her beloved husband, William, along with her parents, Poppy and Grandma Jean, and her cherished Oma and Opa. Their reunion brings comfort to those left behind, knowing that their bond continues in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on December 14, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro, located at 901 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80226. The service will begin with personal remembrances starting at 11:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 12:00 PM.

Linda L. Whitaker will be deeply missed, but her spirit and laughter will forever resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
