Lino Martinez

Lino J. Martinez, 73, of Denver, CO, died peacefully on Sunday January 4, 2008. He married Stella Chavez on July 26, 1955. He honorably served in the United States Airforce early in his career. He was employee of Denver Parks and Recreation for over 30 years and retired with a distinguished ceremony hosted by Former Denver City Mayor Wellington E. Web. He is survived by his wife Stella and nine children: Steve Martinez, of Denver, Robert Martinez, of San Francisco CA, Ron Martinez, of Thornton, Lino Martinez Jr., of Denver, and Fred Martinez, of Lyons KS, Rhonda Rydalch, of Denver, Donna Ellison, of Denver, Franke Martinez, of San Francisco CA, and Katrina Beauchamp, of Aurora; 45 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; and brother Lee Martinez of Lyons Kansas, and sister Juanita Perkovich of Raton, NM.



Memorial service Friday, January 9, 2009 at 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. reception following,. at Heritage Christian Center, 9495 E. Florida Avenue, Denver, CO. Burial Service on Monday January 12, 2009 at 2:15 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
