Lisa Rae Beaber

Lisa Rae Beaber, 60, of Ordway, Colorado, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

She was born the youngest child of Donald and Betty Steiner, on June 16, 1961, in Ontario, Oregon. Lisa graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1979 and received an AA degree from Highline Community College. She married Michael Baugh in May 1988 and divorced in 2003. She married Kevin Beaber in July, 2019 where they resided in Ordway at the time of her death.

Lisa was a very talented crafter and owned her own business. She drove a school bus for the private transportation company First Student and served the Tacoma, Washington school district. Most recently Lisa was a School Bus Driver and Paraprofessional for the Crowley County School District. She specialized in Reading Intervention and Computer Skills for students at Crowley County Primary and Ward Intermediate schools. One of Lisa's passions at school was Student Council. She created the Ward Intermediate school Student Council and taught the students leadership skills and the importance of commitment, living up to expectations that come from being a leader and working for others.

Lisa was currently an active member of the Ordway United Methodist Church where she chaired the Mission/Evangelism Committee and was the Recording Secretary for the Administrative Council. She was also a member of the OUMC Handbell Choir.

Lisa is survived by her husband Kevin Beaber, of Ordway; step-mother, Deila Steiner, of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, David (Lesley) Steiner, Roseburg, Oregon; and sister Renee Pasich of Federal Way, Washington. She is also survived by four daughters: Beth (John) Dalke, of Denmark, Wisconsin, Yvonne (Jeff) Sparacio, of Tacoma, Washington; Kristin (Nick) Keogh, of Puyallup, Washington; and Amanda Baugh, of Seattle, Washington as well as nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Steiner and Don Steiner; brother-in-law William Pasich, and one grandson.

A memorial service will be held at Ordway United Methodist church on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 12:00 pm and a celebration of life will be held in Washington at a date yet to be determined.
