Lloyd E. Greenwood, age 70, of Denver passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Frieda, sons Gary and Jeff, daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Paul Ortega, grandsons Alex and Giancarlo. Lloyd is also survived by numerous family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Denver Hospice Team-West during Lloyd's illness.
Lloyd retired from the Colorado Army National Guard after 31 years. During his tenure he was a supply clerk, mechanic, and supervisor. His proudest accomplishment was wearing the stripes and diamond of a First Sergeant. He had a huge interest for computers and amazingly taught himself how to build and operate them after he retired. He had a soft spot for his grandsons and enjoyed visiting with all of his friends. Lloyd enjoyed football as well as other sports, he was a devoted Denver Bronco fan.
