Lloyd Davis Weatherly, son of Lena Mae (Short) and Parker Davis Weatherly.
Lloyd was born a twin on March 30, 1934 in Paragould, Arkansas in his Grandfather Weatherly's farmhouse
Six months after Lloyd was born his parents moved them to Flagler, Colorado where he grew up in a Christian family. His mother had a large influence on his development of faith.
Lloyd was 5, when he started school in a one room schoolhouse known as the Prairie View School, one-mile West of our home until 1946. He was involved in 4-H, played football and basketball. He graduated from high school in 1952.
In 1952 Lloyd worked on an oil rig, the derrick was about 120 feet tall with three very large Waukesha engines. Shortly after working there Lloyd was promoted to Motor man was in charge of 3-900 horsepower engines and mud pumps
Lloyd met the love of his life Mary in the spring of 1952, it was love at first sight because they never dated anyone else. They were married on June 13th, 1954 and lived in a one-bedroom apartment which used to be a long chicken house building that was remodel into apartments.

In 1953 Lloyd worked for Buck DeFreese, he was a wheat farmer and Lloyd helped farm over 2000 acres, he also had a second job working for Mac McCue putting up medal elevators.
In 1955 Lloyd and Mary moved back Flagler, and were expecting their first child, a daughter was born, they named her Susan. Then two years later their second child was born and was name Jim. Their third child came two years later and was born on the same day as his brother Jim, they named him Randy.
In 1957 Lloyd worked for a farmer rancher by the name of Elmer Kueker, he had about 100 registered shorthorn cattle and several hundred acres for farming.

In 1959, Lloyd work for the Colorado Springs phone company with the Construction Division.

In 1960 Lloyd and Mary purchased a 40-acre Ranch House Northwest of Peyton Colorado. They planted 20 acres of alfalfa. That summer of 1960 Lloyd started working for Cowen Moving Company moving furniture. The company became very busy and his Boss asked Lloyd could he drive a Semi-truck "of course he said", which lasted 9 ½ years. This was the start of his Truck Driving career.
In 1965 Lloyd and Mary almost lost their home to "the Summer of the Big Flood".
The beginning of 1968 Cowen Moving company was very busy, Lloyd was able to help his brother Doug get a union card so he could start working for the company, which he did during the summers.
In 1969 Lloyd quit with the Cowen Moving Company. Moved to Burlington and went to work with his twin brother Floyd at New Texaco Station, that did not last long.
In 1972 Lloyd started driving for Montgomery Ward Catalog Division and received a pin every year for safe driving.
June of 1974 Lloyd and Mary bought a home in Castle Rock so he could be closer to his job with Montgomery Wards.
In 1977 Lloyd and Mary move to Littleton Colorado, this is when Lloyd decided to try and make a living selling insurance and Securities. His wonderful Wife Mary recorded hours of Sample test questions and study questions for Lloyd to listen while he was driving for Montgomery Ward. Lloyd received his Insurance, Brokers and Securities License and sold insurance for several years while still driving for Montgomery Wards
In 1984 Lloyd decided to build a Townhome Project in Fort Collins. Lloyds two boys Jim and Randy both in construction built them, which Lloyd was so proud of.
In 1986 Lloyd went to work for ABF Freight Lines, He drove pulling two 28-foot trailers from Denver to Wyoming to Cheyenne. He also made a few trips pulling 3 trailers. He received the Million Mile Club Safe Driving Award. Lloyd loved his job and retired from ABF on October 7, 1996.
Lloyd and Mary were all about family, they went to visit their Children every Year. They both loved to travel and visit the Capitols in every state.
Lessons Lloyd learn in is youth and has always lived by

Respect People and their Feelings
Whatever job you have, do a good job
Make sure whatever you do, do it right
Always be on time and always finish what you start

Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary, daughter in-law Helen Marie and his granddaughter Stacy Sue.
He is survived by his daughter Susan and husband Doug; son Jimmy and son Randy and wife Patti; as well as eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
