Lois Elizabeth Golba, 84, of Evergreen, Colorado, died on Monday, July 17, 2006. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20th at Newcomer's Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado 80226. Funeral services will be at 10:00 on Friday, July 21st at Christ The King Catholic Church in Evergreen, Colorado. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Evergreen Animal Protective League at P.O. Box 2517; Evergreen, Colorado 80437.
Lois was born on April 22, 1922 in K.C., MO. She was a resident of the K.C. area for 55 years before moving to Evergreen, Colorado with her husband, John, and two of their children in 1976.
She was prececed in death by her brothers: Arch Powell and Charles (Dyke) Powell.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Henry Golba, of home the home in Evergreen, Colorado; her children: John R. and Carolyn S., also of the home; Charles L. and his wife, Rebecca, of Louisburg, KS; Marylyn and her husband, Marvin of Shawnee, KS; Tim Golba of Lenexa, KS; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
