Lorenzo "Jim" Burgert of Golden, retired Federal employee, died on 2/12/2002.
He way born may 9, 1905 in Manzanola, CO.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, and a relative, Velma Keast of Pueblo. His first wife, Fanny Siegler Burgert, died in 1968. His daughter, Lou Ella Burgert, died in 1964.
He had an active work career in Hawaii teaching labor training in pineapple and sugarcane, in Pennsylvania as a principal of a high school for 2 years, and in Colorado working at the Amache Japanese Relocation Camp Teaching labor training for 4 yrs., 2 years at Farm Security, and finishing up his career working with the value of water for the Bureau of Reclamation in Pueblo and Denver. He retired in May of 1968. His hobby was growing roses, pansies and gladiolus.
Services were held at Newcomer Family Mortuary and entombment was at Crown Hill Mausoleum on February 18, 20002.
