Louise Caroline Wilson

December 26, 1927 — December 18, 2020

Louise was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on December 26, 1927. Louise passed away on December 18, 2020. She was preceded in death by Her parents Lorenz Weiss and Anna Wechtler, six sisters and two brothers: Mary, Margret, Helen, Florence, Anna, Elizabeth, Lorney, and Paul. Louise is survived by her Husband of nearly 70 years, Donald, her son Scott, daughter Laureen, grandchildren Courtney (Karla), Spencer, great grandchildren Peri and Sophie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise came to Colorado with her sister Helen in 1945 just after she graduated from High School in Minneapolis. Louise and Helen rented an apartment at 1st and Broadway. Louise got a job at Bowman Biscuit Company picking cookies off the conveyor belt and placing them in boxes and Helen got a job at Northwestern National Life Insurance. A while later they moved into a converted garage apartment with four other girls from Minnesota. Louise is quoted as saying "the guys would come and go from our house". Louise was dating Daryl and he brought over a friend who Louise said was "cute". That was Donald and they began dating to Daryl's dismay.

Donald graduated from West High School in 1948. He went to CSU for a semester but came back to Denver when his father left his mother Natalie. He got a job to help support them. In 1951 Donald was drafted and that is when he and Louise decided to get married. Donald and Louise were married at St. Francis de Sales on January 7, 1951. In 1955 they had a son, Scott.

Louise enjoyed watching sports. She and Donald would go to as many of the kid's ball games and sporting events they could (the grand kids, nieces, and nephews ball games / gymnastics) Louise enjoyed bowling and did so for as long as she could. She was a local sports supporter, especially the Broncos. Donald and Louise have held season tickets to the Broncos since they were in the AFL. Louise's last game was in 2018. She was also a devoted Catholic and member of Notre Dame church.
