Lucia Pelzel

Lucia was a native of Colorado; a graduate of Fredrick High School (1958). She worked for the Denver Public Schools for many years, a job that gave her great joy and satisfaction, not to mention, numerous friends. She enjoyed tennis and physical fitness (competing in many running events earlier in her life). In addition, she had a great love for animals, her favorites being Pandas and cats.

Lucia's love for others overflowed. She was very outgoing and truly appreciated the many close relationships she had with family and friends. In addition to being a devoted wife and sister, she was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law who would frequently travel to Pennsylvania to visit her son's family.

She was very proud of her Italian Catholic heritage and was truly dedicated to her faith. Because of this we are sure that she now soars with the angels in heaven. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Lucia leaves behind a loving husband, Robert, brother Fred, son Rodney, daughter-in-law Ellen, and granddaughter Rory.
