Lucinda G. Brungardt

Lucinda G. Brungardt, 55, of Aurora, passed away April 5, 2019.

She was born September 17, 1963 in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of Ken and Wanda (Clark) Whittenburg. She graduated from the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind High School in 1983. On October 4, 1993 she married Joseph Brungardt, in Golden, Colorado. Lucinda and Joseph gave birth to their daughter, Sonya, on January 8, 1994.

Lucinda worked as mail clerk for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 30 years, retiring on July 6, 2015. She enjoyed her puzzles and watching the Denver Broncos, Rockies and Nuggets. Above all else, Lucinda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Lucinda is survived by her husband, Joseph Brungardt; daughter, Sonya (D.J. Johnsen) Brungardt; parents, Ken and Wanda Whittenburg; sister, Pam (A.J.) Goldsmith; brother, Scott (Robin) Whittenburg; three grandchildren, Lamyah Archuleta, Xadrian Archuleta, and David Johnsen, IV; four aunts, Kathy (Larry) Bowling, Sandra (Neil) Beckman, Louise (Willie) Boyles, and Sue (Larry) Byrd; mother-in-law, Viola Brungardt; and sister-in-law, Kathy Mondragon.
