Lucyle Cline

Lucyle Mae Cline was born May 17th, 1926, the youngest of six children, to Fred and Hattie McConnell of Wilsonville, NE.
Her family moved to Lebanon, KS in 1936 where Lucyle attended and graduated from school, and went on to teach near the town of Esbon, KS.
Lucyle was married to Delbert "Bud" Cline on June 25, 1945. After returning from Service in WWII, Bud and Lucyle settled in Lebanon where they began their family. Bud and Lucyle had four children: Peggy, Roger, Tom, and Beth. The family was involved in dairy and farming activities in Kansas and Nebraska before moving to the Strasburg, CO area in 1961. Lucyle spent her time as a homemaker, and was involved in a variety of activities in the community, from running the Strasburg Café to cooking for the Longhorn Café and Deer Trail School. Bud and Lucyle eventually settled in Byers, CO where their family was active in the community, and later raised and raced greyhounds. Bud and Lucyle returned to Strasburg in the early 90's where Lucyle resided until the spring of 2008.
Lucyle very much enjoyed her family and the many gatherings of loved-ones and friends in her home. She was especially proud of her eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Lucyle's door was always open and welcoming to family and friends.
