It is with sadness that we must report the loss of our mother.
LyNel Gross passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday May 9th, Mothers Day. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed. She was seventy nine years old and she is survived by two sisters, a brother, three children, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was a fine oil and canvas artist who liked to paint the beautiful local scenery around South Park where she and her husband Bob were longtime residents. LyNel and Bob also liked to rescue dogs. First Dingoes, then Pomeranians and finally Great Pyrenees. She was also an avid gardener and got pretty good at high altitude gardening.
She worked for many years as a checker at King Soopers and many remember her pink pens and the way she loved to dress up for Halloween.
After she retired from King Soopers she started a Daycare business.
Her family will host a ceremony in her honor later this summer as weather and the Corona Virus allow.
