Manuel A. Rodriguez

Manuel passed on May 22, 2019 at the age of 89. He entered peaceful rest in the care of Johnnette Montour (granddaughter), Kennedy Mayoral (grandson-in-law), Jasmine Mayoral (great granddaughter) and Kennedy Mayoral Jr. (great grandson).
He is survived by his four children: M. David Rodriguez having one son, Tim Thornton; Yolanda Montour having one daughter, Johnnette Montour; Daniel Rodriguez having three children, Layla Rodriguez, Dwayne Rodriguez and Danny Rodriguez; and Yvonne Rodriguez having one son, Mike Freed.
Manuel was born in Bent County, Colorado to Maximo Rodriguez and Maria Ayala Rodriguez but lived most of his life in Denver, Colorado. He was proud of his Hispanic Indian (Tarahumara) roots. He served in the U.S. Army and saw action in the Korean War. After his discharge, he returned to Denver to raise his family. He worked at Wright & McGill Fishing Tackle Company as a draftsman and retired from there. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family.
Manuel was extremely fond of music and taught himself how to play classical guitar music. He was well known in the classical guitar community as a renowned guitarist. He furthered his love of classical guitar music by learning how to make classical guitars and became world famous as a guitar maker (luthier).
Manuel A. Rodriguez was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
