Margaret Dean Johnson

Margaret Dean "Marge" Johnson, 92, of Aurora, passed away June 7, 2020.
She was born September 5, 1927 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Mauer) Paa.
She was a graduate of high school in Sioux Falls. After graduating, Margaret worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator until her marriage. After her children were grown, Margaret returned to work at Denver Wholesale Greenhouse.
Marge was a long-time volunteer for DESI in the Gift Shop where she lived in the Senior-Citizen apartment complex.
Margaret enjoyed shopping. She also collected elephants, spoons and thimbles. Marge was an avid reader of magazines and enjoyed completing puzzle books. Margaret was well-known for baking and sharing her many Christmas cookies. Above all, Margaret was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who cherished the time that she spent with her family and will be greatly missed.
Margaret is survived by her children Greg (wife Eva); Jeff (wife Linda); Steve (wife Debbie); Sandy Mattics (husband Louis); Kathy Fritz (husband Lynn) and Dianne Jarmillo (husband Dave); grandchildren Paul, Robin, Leslie, Vanessa, Christopher, Andy, Aimee, Angela, Candace, Heather, Melissa, and Riley; great-grandchildren Alisha, Amanda, Austin, Makayla, Cody, Alicia, Jordan, Molly, Zoey, Natalie, Sophie, Dakota, Grace and Logan; great-great grandchildren, Zach, Jacob, Gino, Marcello, Elizabeth, Michael, Gabe and Hannah as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; her children's father, Leroy Delmar Johnson and siblings, Joe, Sonny, MaryAnn, Alice and Dorothy.
