Margaret Maes, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born on December 10, 1937, Margie lived a life full of love, dedication, and resilience. She was married to Donnie Maes for 33 years (who preceded her in death in 1987)
Together, they built a beautiful family, raising six children: Richard (Donna), Susan (Fred), Lita, Linda (John) Natalie (Joseph), and Amado “Pat” (who preceded her in death), a loss she carried with grace and strength.
Margie’s legacy is also carried on by her grandchildren: Rich Jr. (Adele), Jennifer, Vanesa, Dawn (Carlos), Fred II, Jessie, Joshua,
Monica (Randy), Ryan,
Alyssa (Trent), Amanda (Sam).
She was also a proud
great-grandmother to 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Faith & family were the cornerstone of Margie’s life. She was the heart of her family, she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, offering support, wisdom and love, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Her sister Becky and her parents, Frank and Elizabeth, preceded her in death. She is also survived by her loving brother Tony, her adoring niece Patricia and other numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
Margie served the Lord for over 50 years, and her faith was a guiding light in her life. In her early years, she attended the Church of God of Prophecy, where she helped with various activities within the church. Later, at Praise Center Church, she contributed by helping in the nursery, Sunday school, hospitality and various other church groups. Her dedication and service touched many lives and will be fondly remembered.
Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in the countless memories and the indelible mark she left on their hearts.
A celebration of Margie’s life will be held on September 4, 2024, at Praise Center Church.
