Marguerite H. Prestrud died peacefully August 25, 2005 at Mountain Vista Nursing Home, Wheat Ridge CO. Marguerite was born Nov. 7th 1914 in Denver CO. She was a graduate of Englewood High School. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Marguerite Riley, her husband Carl Prestrud, a brother Arthur Riley Jr., one grandchild, & one great grand child. She is survived by her brother Gerald Riley, children Richard Prestrud and his wife Norma, Harold Prestrud, & Alice Kozlowski, six grand children, eighteen great grand children & two great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday September 15th at 1:00pm at Saint James Presbyterian Church, Avery Hall located at Bellview & Lowell Blvd, Littleton CO. Her Grandson Pastor Paul Prestrud will officiate at the memorial service.
Marguerite was an active member and Deacon of Saint James Presbyterian church until her move to Riverpointe Senior Living facility in 2000. Her Christian faith stood fast throughout her life and touched those who knew her. Known by her professional artist name Margo, she was a member of the Littleton Fine Arts Committee. Many of her oil & water color landscapes grace the homes of her family, friends and businesses in the Denver area. Marguerite was a displaced citizen of (Old) Dillon and her collage of the remnants of "Old Dillon" hangs in the Frisco Historical Society Museum, Frisco Colorado.
