Maria Barocio

Maria Barocio, 81, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2010 peacefully with her family by her side. She Survived by her loving son, Marc Barocio and Gabino Jacobo; grandchildren, Chelsie, Barbara, and Brandon. Maria was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Felipe. Maria immigrated to the United States in 1957 and was a resident of California until 1997 when she moved to Colorado. As members of her extended family immigrated to this country, Maria would act as their surrogate mother. As these "kids" grew up they realized the impact that "Tia Maria" had made to better their lives. The loss of Maria has left a large void in the lives of all that have known her gentile and gracious heart. The family will greet with friends and relatives in Colorado on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home East Metro Chapel. Maria's family will also greet with friends and family on Friday, August 13, 2010, between 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the funeral home with Interment to follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens where she will rest with her husband, Felipe.
