Maria Celina "Sally" Huereña, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Sister, passed away December 22, 2019 in Thornton, Colorado.
She was born on March 1, 1938 in Del Norte Colorado to Felidelfio & Erminda Peña. She was the middle child, having an older sister Angelina and younger brother Ambrose, whom both preceded her in death. She has a surviving sister Linda Quintana.
Sally grew up in Del Norte Colorado and later moved to Denver, where she met the love of her life, "Sam". They were married on May 21, 1955 in Taos, New Mexico.
Sally had numerous jobs with her final job being a Paraprofessional with the Denver Public Schools for 13 years. She enjoyed singing, sewing, reading, ceramics, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.
On December 8, 2015, the love of her life Sam passed away.
Sally is survived by 3 sons & 3 daughters. Angie (Narciso), Joe, Jackie, Jeanine (Randy), Scott & James (Tammy). Four of her sons preceded her in death. Sam, John, Steve & Stanley. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren & 32 great-grandchildren, of which two preceded her in death.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew & loved her.
