Maria Elena Medina

Maria Elena Contreras Medina, 60. Passed away April 24th, 2023 in Thornton, Colorado. Born on February 17th, 1963 to Rogelio & Gregoria Contreras. Grew up in east Denver. Had one younger brother Rogelio Contreras ll. Married to Felix Medina. Maria had 3 children; Nicholas Nolan, Jose Nolan & Nicole Medina. She had 7 grandchildren & had many niece and nephews & close friends. Maria owned her own cleaning business called "Marie's Touch". In her younger days she loved to write poetry. She loved lowrider cars, enjoyed being surrounded by friends & family and most definitely loved to have her drinks. Most people knew her by "La Chola". She was one of a kind. Always the life of the party, loudest in the room, with such a beautiful loving heart. She would make friends with anyone, anywhere she went. She was a social butterfly. Although Maria was tiny, she had a huge personality. She was a feisty one, someone who always spoke her truth no matter what anyone else thought or said of her. She was a soldier & fought until she couldn't anymore. She put up a good fight here on Earth, now Maria can rest peacefully with her loved ones in heaven. We all will miss you dearly La Chola, you are forever in our hearts. Rest easy.

POWER

Power in my mind, in which I don't want to leave behind. For I grew while away, want to learn more day by day. Beyond despair, I want to share my feelings out there. For who loves me will be there, and those who don't… I don't care. I am fair!!!
